ALUZ stopped by our office to update us on their product offering. Overall we were impressed with the variety of channels and the quality of the fixtures.
The manufacturing facility is in California and includes LED chip mounting and fixture assembly. There is a 4-6 week lead time on the fixtures and but there quite a few fixtures that can be quick shipped with 1-2 day lead times.
Their line voltage, field cuttable string light offering provides a permanent solution with stainless steel hooks and a dual aircraft cable system. The fixture looked and felt robust.
There is a variety of canopies, bug ratings, lamp styles, and CCT/static color options.
They provide shop drawings for special configurations.
We were assured their lamps do NOT flicker when dimmed compared to other.
Marine grade powder coating is available for salty environments.
They showed us a wide variety of channels with a chip on board lighting.
LED boards come pre-installed but can be field cut at 1" increments.
They also offer LED tape light version as a VE option (10%-15% less than LED boards).
All the lighting offerings are available in static white, RGBW, dynamic white, and warm dim.
The website has a very comprehensive catalog of all the channels with very nice diagrams of how they operate.
We were impressed with the ZUVU Flush Arc and ZUVU Flush Perimeter as a perimeter wall grazing fixture.
With most of the extrusions, they offer a thin reflector sheet that is installed in the channels to create a seamless surface.
Lastly, their website features great diagrams of their fixtures illustrating mounting and illumination.
